So, after tonight, which was absolutely incredible (For those of you who don’t know, my band shared the stage with The Wonder Years, The Swellers, and more tonight) I just wanted to share something about myself. When I like a band and attend their show, I will stand in the crowd, with everyone else and sing along and participate just like every other fan that paid to get in. I don’t sit backstage because I’m in a band or friends with whoever may or may not be there. I stand in the crowd because at shows, everyone is equal, there should be no sense of “oh, that person is important or cool because they are standing backstage.” Everyone there is there for the same reason. So I position myself comfortably in the crowd with all the other people who share my love and passion. I’m not knocking people who don’t stand in the crowd because they know someone or are in some band. I’m just saying I think it says something to be a part of the entire experience, and be on the same level as all the other people there. I will continue to stand in the crowd at every show I attend, even if my band becomes popular on a more national scale.
